私の作品は駆け巡る思考と感情の結果です。制作するとき、部分的にしかコントロールできない素材を直感的および実験的に使用し、抽象的な作品から一歩はずれて素材どうしが響きあうのを発見するのを楽しんでいます。私の小作品はケーキのデコレーション道具、ポリウレタン、砂や樹脂を使い、鑑賞者を近づかせ、触れさせ、離れていては見えないディテールを見つけさせます。今回の展示「Horizon」では植物、細胞、甘い食べ物からインスピレーションを受けると同時に、方向感覚の喪失や混乱の要素も含め、それらによってノスタルジアやデジャヴを呼び起こすことに取り組んでいます。

My art is a result of racing thoughts and feelings. When creating, I work intuitively and experimentally using materials that can only be partially controlled. I enjoy stepping away from an abstract work and discovering the way the materials have interacted. By using cake decorating tools, polyurethane foam, sand and resin my small works invite viewers to get close and touch, discovering details that can’t be seen from a distance. “Horizon” aims to tackle themes of nostalgia and deja-vu by drawing inspiration from plants, cells and sweet foods while simultaneously including elements of disorientation and chaos.
