この度、ドイツ、ライプチヒを拠点として活動するアーティスト、Richard Welzと金子紗織によるユニット「MADE BY US」の展示を、2023年10月27日(金)～11月6日(月)　(31日～2日は定休日のため休廊)13:00～19:00に、横浜・石川町のLAUNCH PAD GALLERYにて開催します。

「MADE BY US」は、2011年より始めた、2人のアートプロジェクトです。彼らは、身近にある放射能の問題を国際的な視点から表現をしています。特に核災害や、ウラン採掘、核のゴミ処理所が環境へ与える長期的な影響をテーマにしています。そして、また今日の核開発の利点と欠点にも問いを投げかけています。今回は、2014年の福島県、ドイツ、チューリンゲン州にある旧ウラン鉱山の風景写真と、桜をモチーフとした素描を合わせたインスタレーションを展示します。

We are pleased to announce an exhibition of the art unit "MADE BY US" by Leipzig, Germany-based artists Richard Welz and Saori Kaneko from 10/27/2023 - 11/6/2023 at LAUNCH PAD GALLERY. 

They express the issue of radiation in our daily lives from an international perspective.

In particular, we focus on nuclear disasters and the long-term effects of uranium mining and nuclear waste disposal sites on the environment.They also question the advantages and disadvantages of today's nuclear development.

They will show photographs of landscapes of former uranium mines in Fukushima Prefecture and Thuringia, Germany in 2014, and drawings with cherry blossoms as motifs in this exhibition.
