ランチパッドギャラリー「しずかなところ」大川祐ステイトメント

以前良く山に登っていた。どの山だったか忘れてしまったけど、紅葉した木々が山の中腹にあった。音が無く静かなのに色とりどりの紅葉した木々が目の前に広がり、浄土を見ているようだった。展覧会タイトル「しずかなところ」はその時のイメージから取っている。

ランチパッドギャラリーの窓が好きだ。展示空間から目の前にある交差点が見える。人が行き交う。車の音がする。色んなものが動いている。その窓から光が展示空間に差している。光が差す展示空間に静かな絵画が並んでいる。

I used to climb mountains. I don't remember which mountain it was, but there were trees with autumn leaves halfway up the mountain. There was no sound and it was quiet, but the colorful autumn leaves spread out in front of me, and I felt as if I was looking at the Pure Land. The title of the exhibition, "A Quiet Place," was taken from the image I had at that time.

I like the windows of the Launchpad Gallery. From the exhibition space, you can see the intersection in front of you. People come and go. There is the sound of cars. Various things are moving. Light shines through the window into the exhibition space. Quiet paintings are lined up in the lighted exhibition space.
